[…] An almost cinematic continuity is woven between these portraits. Her work is based on an opposition between the snapshot and the pose. The model laying six to seven seconds, while the image remainsthat of a fragment of a glance, a fleeting nod, barely sketched. Suzanne Lafont moves the meaning of her images between “taken from life” and set design, between the sole and the series between the pictorial and cinematic.
